Instructor Terms of Use

Introduction

These terms apply to all independent instructors, training centers, and universities that publish educational content on the Lambdy platform.

By publishing a course on Lambdy, you accept the terms described in this document, as well as the Terms of Use.

Publishing and Managing Courses

Setting Prices

Instructors, training centers, and universities are free to set the public price of their courses, learning paths, or programs, subject to compliance with the commercial and promotional rules set by the Platform.

The Platform reserves the right to suspend or refuse the publication of a course whose price is manifestly abusive, inconsistent, or contrary to commercial ethics.

Content Responsibility

The Lambdy Platform is exclusively dedicated to distributing educational, pedagogical, and professional content. As such, published courses must:

have a clear learning objective,
present structured, pedagogical content,
be suited to an adult or professional audience,
meet educational quality standards.

⛔ Strictly Prohibited Content

It is strictly prohibited to publish:

pornographic or sexually explicit content,
violent, hateful, discriminatory content, or content inciting hatred,
content with no educational purpose,
fraudulent or misleading content,
content contrary to applicable laws and regulations.

The Platform reserves the right to refuse, suspend, or remove any content that does not meet these requirements, without prior notice.

Business Model and Commissions

Training Centers and Universities

Lambdy Commission: 20%

Payout to the instructor: 80%

The commission notably covers:

content hosting,
access to educational tools,
enrollment management,
technical and administrative services.

Independent Instructors

The applicable commission depends on the sales channel. The rates below are those configured on the platform.

Direct Sales

Lambdy Commission: 10%

Payout to the instructor: 90%

Advertising Run by Lambdy

This channel applies when Lambdy handles the promotion of the course (social media and other advertising channels), or when the learner's acquisition channel is driven by Lambdy.

Lambdy Commission: 30%

Payout to the instructor: 70%

MTN Sharing

Thanks to the partnership with MTN, the instructor can benefit from an audience of several million users via direct SMS and other MTN acquisition channels. In this case, the commission / channel-sharing rate is 60 %.

Commission / channel sharing: 60%

Payout to the instructor: 40%

These commissions include the provision of tools for creating, distributing, promoting, and managing courses, depending on the channel involved.

Premium Subscription

Price: $20 / month per learner

Lambdy Commission: 30%

Redistributed to instructors: 70%

Redistribution is carried out according to internal criteria based on actual pedagogical involvement (support, follow-up, interactions, assessments).

Sign Language Surcharge

When sign language dubbing is included in a course:

A surcharge of +5% applies on top of the standard commission

Example: The institution commission goes from 20% to 25%

Dubbing in Other Languages

Dubbing in other languages is billed separately:

Rate: $0,6 / minute of dubbing

The cost is entirely borne by the instructor or the institution.

Payout Timelines

Payouts are made within a maximum of 72 business hours from the effective validation of payment, subject to:

final confirmation of the transaction by the payment provider,
no refund request,
no dispute, fraud, or chargeback.

In the event of suspected fraud or a bank dispute, the Platform reserves the right to temporarily suspend the payout until clarification.

Evolution of the Business Model

The Platform's business model is subject to change. Any material change will be subject to prior notification. New terms will apply to future transactions only.

Dubbing and Accessibility

Sign Language

Sign language dubbing is an optional service.

When included, a surcharge of 5% is applied on top of the commission that would otherwise apply. This surcharge covers the technical and human costs associated with accessibility.

Other Languages

Dubbing in other languages is billed based on usage:

Reference rate: $0,6 / minute of dubbing
The cost is entirely borne by the instructor or the institution
This service is optional and independent of standard commissions

Obligations and Prohibited Behaviors

Instructors agree to use the Platform fairly, in compliance with the law and these terms.

Strictly Prohibited Behaviors

Artificially manipulating prices, promotions, or marketing campaigns
Circumventing commission rules or payment mechanisms
Diverting learners toward making payments outside the Platform
Misleading learners about the content, skills acquired, or certifications issued
Publishing fraudulent reviews or ratings
Creating or using multiple accounts for abusive purposes
Sharing or reselling access to a user account
Using automated or technical means to improperly exploit the Platform
Distributing content contrary to the law, public order, or public decency
Harming the image, security, or reputation of the Platform

Any attempt at fraud, including transaction manipulation, fake payments, or abusive disputes (fraudulent chargebacks), is strictly prohibited.

Sanctions

In the event of a violation of these provisions, the Platform reserves the right, without prejudice to any legal action, to:

temporarily suspend the account concerned,
block pending payouts,
permanently delete the account,
exclude the user from any future use,
seek compensation for any damage suffered.

The sanction applied will depend on the severity of the facts observed.
